In September, ybgreen.net was launched. The eco-business site was designed and developed by Paul Turner Designs (PTD). YB Green® is an “urbancycled” brand of accessories that are recycled in the urban environment to enhance the urban environment.  Glass that would otherwise be wasted in landfills is transformed and given a new fashionable life. Volunteers collect wasted glass in the 9th ward of New Orleans, Louisiana.  ”The glass is crushed, melted, and designed into jewelry that represents environmental and artistic expression” explained founder, Yasmin Bowers.  ”Due to the handmade process, purchases are one of a kind and reflect the culture of urban environments.  Be proud to say, ‘My earrings used to be a bottle.’”
